The Basics:

HEY! My name is Milla, or as my friends call me, MVP. While I wish I could say that was my nickname by reputation, I was simply lucky enough to have been born with a name that gave me a pretty memorable set of initials that stuck after I figured them out in the 5th grade. This fun nickname is just one of the many my friends and family have come up with throughout my life, but it’s one of my favorites.

I’ve always been the creative type, knowing from a young age that I wanted to pursue a professional path where innovation meets aesthetics. From playing around with Adobe Creative Suite—Photoshop, Illustrator, and InDesign—to discussing creative campaigns and strategies with my peers, I thrive in environments where I can blend strategy with art. In addition to design, I love to create visual art, especially portrait paintings, and drawings.

When I'm not busy with my coursework or creative projects, you'll likely find me indulging in my other passion: food. Whether I'm cooking up new recipes at home, wandering through a local farmers market, or sampling the latest menu at a hidden gem of a restaurant, I'm always on the hunt for culinary inspiration.

MVP Values:

  • Lead by example

  • Honesty and transparency

  • Collaboration, inclusivity, and teamwork are key

  • Keep learning and be humble

  • Engagement with the cultural landscape

  • Creative problem solving

  • Attention to detail

A little more about me…

The Art
of Cooking

I had never really cooked before my freshman year of college. While I love Loyola for many reasons, the dining hall food is not one of them; in fact, it is the very reason I decided to take on cooking as a hobby and quickly fell in love with the practice of it.

This new hobby introduced me to a new kind of art: one that you can taste. I have always said that food tastes better when it looks pretty, and while I have always admired it with my eyes, I have gained an appreciation for flavors and the taste of different cuisines over the last couple of years. I began a food Instagram (@heymvp.eats) to document restaurants that I enjoyed and my cooking progress; I have only found myself getting increasingly creative with new recipes, platings, and flavor profiles.
