For a final project for one of my drawing classes, I was assigned to create a collection of drawings that shared a common theme. I chose to make four drawings, two of which I have chosen to showcase in this portfolio, under one common theme: the polarizing strength and vulnerability of being a woman.

This portrait depicts the vulnerability of femininity through the subject’s large, pleading eyes and the conservative shape of her hair, inspired by the coifs and veils worn by Catholic nuns.
