Perfect Press Spreads
For a group project, we had to choose our own text and make a Perfect Bound book comprising all our spreads. My group consisted of six people in total, and all of our texts and design plans were completely different. This led us to name our book “Mayhem,” with a seemingly calm exterior with the mayhem inside. I chose two readings from my Theology class that I found interesting and decided to make an ode to traditional book spreads with a modern twist. Considering my text was about a religious subject, I drew inspiration from old biblical texts and storybooks, which sport drop capitals, detailed illustrations, and decorative frames proudly.
We each designed our own sections; this one is mine.
Illustrations are also done by me, drawn on my iPad using Adobe Fresco.
